COULD YOU USE A SCHOLARSHIP ?

FORM (click here or contact scholarship chairman for form)

MCYA – USA is pleased to offer scholarships to deserving students. Currently (as of Feb. 2000) we have almost $3,000 available for this purpose so are offering 6 scholarships of $500 each. Since matching funds are required this would mean financial help of $1,000 for each year one is awarded a scholarship. Students may be granted a scholarship more than one year if it is deemed appropriate. After the first year requirements for applications would be easier to meet. Eventually we may be able to increase the amount of each scholarship. We were pleased to be able to grant the first scholarship to Mey Siow Saechao in 1996.

ONLY THE FOLLOWING ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY:

  1. Applicant must not be on the scholarship committee nor be from the same immediate family as a committee member.
  2. Applicant must be currently involved in Mien camp leadership or in a Mien local church or have served during the past two years in such capacity.

  6. Must attend a Christian college (non-state college)
  7. Must be a full-time student (either undergraduate or graduate)

APPLICANTS MUST PRESENT THESE PAPERS (POSTMARKED BY JUNE 1ST) TO THE COMMITTEE FOR THEIR CONSIDERATION
