IV. TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TO THE Mien

  1. English-Mien language lessons Module 2 "Medicine and the Doctor" 7p.LEC This is excerpted from the script prepared for tape recordings made in 1982 to help the Mien learn English. The full script is still available but the Mien text for that edition is in the Thai script, which few U.S. Mien can read rather than the new Unified English-letter script. 50 p.
  2. An English Course for Pre-literates. Prepared in 1980 for those teaching English to Mien and using the tape series mentioned under IV.1 above. This has some cross-cultural information. 108 pages LEC
